The Course
Monday, October 13, 2008 – Columbus Day
The Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women race course is run through the picturesque streets of Boston's Back Bay and Cambridge, MA. To ensure runner safety, the course is completely closed to traffic by members of the Boston, Cambridge, and Massachusetts State Police. The course offers six water stations as well as medical aid stations, and split times are called at each mile mark. The current course record was set in 1988 by Anne Hannam with a time of 31:38. The course is certified by USA Track & Field.
“My favorite part of the course is where we run under the bridges. We all 'whoop' with glee! It’s the only race I’ve seen where that happens!”
- Marilyn Licciardello
